Lyrics and Background on the "What it Takes" song/video recently put up (MOSTLY Cross Posted from MySpace)

Someone in in the MusicThoughts group had posted some rough lyrical ideas for a love song based on the idea of "Washing the Moon" in order to better see his beloved. He had further requested somebody take a crack at the idea... Roughly 12-15 hours of writing / recording later, I eventually settled on the following:

Washing the Moon (Gloria)

Verse1:
Sometimes a love above me
Others a love below
Blessed love besides me
Glory now I know
A lifetime lies inside of me
Wisdom now I must share
When her breath delights me
World of wonder there

Refrain=============:
Now I see celestial and as this passion burns
I’m washing the moon to show me more
No matter how it turns

Verse2:
Something so wild examined
May lose an edge to sight
Illumination here is destined
To make it even more right
Revel in glow all around
Mercury warm in embrace
Touch your ear to the sound
Let your tongue hold the taste

Repeat Refrain

Bridge:
Gloom retreats from the lunar glow like the flames in my mind
Tumbling into darkness, moon-washed light brightly shines
Two entwined in heartbeats hard, entrain and rise to the light
Gloria of my soul and seeing - our union ignites the night

Verse3:
Sun who now rides the blue sky
Never sleeps while he’s gone
Reflecting moon rises high
Cleansing light shines strong
Sometimes a love above me
Others a love below
Blessed love besides me
Glory now I know

Repeat Refrain
